Welcome to the Swords section, here you will find a detailed description of the many types of swords available in Chozaria.
Long Sword: The long sword is the most common sword used in most realms. It is a two edged blade designed for any purpose.
Scimitar: The Scimitar is a curved Asian sword with the edge on the convex side. The metal is pressed thinly but of superior design, making the blade very sturdy but flexible. It is used mostly by the desert raiders and traders, where the design was born.
Cutlass: The Cutlass is most commonly used by sailors, the design is meant for a more functional use, and is particularly good when used in the extreme close-quarters combat like that of a ship. It is a short heavy sword with a curved single-edged blade.
Viking Sword: A very heavy double edged sword. This is not a finese weapon and is meant for strong powerful hacks.
Saber: A heavy cavalry sword with a one-edged, slightly curved blade. It is a light dueling or fencing sword having an arched guard covering the hand and a tapered flexible blade with a cutting edge on one side and on the tip.
Wakizashi: A shorter one handed companion sword to the katana.
Rapier: A stabbing weapon used traditionally in duels, but has become a common blade of the Assassin due to its extreme light weight and speed.
Bastard Sword: These blades are similar in use as long swords but these sword have incredibly ornate blades, some with multiple projections and edges.

Gladiator Sword: A short double edged weapon with a very sharp tip. A very versatile close quarters weapon design for the fast paced, choas of a Gladiator Ring.
Tanto: A small thin extremely sharp blade, used by Samuraii's as a slasking or stabbing weapon.
Crescent Blade: This light slashing weapon was created by the elves. It consists of a half circle blade attached to a bar that extends away from the hand. Forearm braces ensure the weapon stays vertical to the arm. The weapon has since become a favorite in Fighting Pits and by Assassins.
