Skills in Chozaria are gained from the Classes you choose and train in. You train in a skill by using it! if you want to gain swordfighting? Go fight some monsters. Sewing? Knit some shirts! There is no skill cap and skill gains use a point system. At launch no skills may exceed 100.0 and you gain .1 at a time, based on how much you use the skill and the difficulty of your task. On top of gaining skills you can also specialize in your classes, for example. You are a warrior gaining skill in swords, you can specialize in in a certain type of sword, you will get a +1 bonus when using that type of sword, and a -1 penalty when using ANY other weapon, not just swords. You can even go a step further by binding a weapon or tool to your essence that falls under type you specialized in. You will get an additional +1 bonus when using it and a -1 when using any other item within the same field, combat for combat, tailoring for tailoring etc. You must find a trainer for the skill you wish to advance before you can gain experience in it.

Combat

Swords: The Practice and Use of 1 handed swords of every kind, small sword to bastard sword.

Great Swords: The Practice and use of 2 handed swords and Katanas

Knives: The Practice and use of daggers and knives.

Pole Arms: The Practice and use of Halbards, Lances, Spears etc.

Axe: The Practice and use of Hand Axes, Battle Axes and Two handed Axes.

Bashing Weapons: The Practice and use of Maces, Hammers, Flails etc.

Ranged Weapons: The Practice and use of Bows, Cross Bows and Slings.

Throwing Weapons: The Practice and use of Darts, Throwing Potions, Ninja Stars, etc.

Unarmed Combat: The practice and use of lethal and non lethal(stun) unarmed combat.

Grappling Weapons: Weapons, usually with hinged claws, for immobilizing seizing and holding fast to an object or person.

Dodge: The Practice of Dodging attacks. (Successfully Dodged Attacks Deal no Damage)

Parrying: The Practice of Parrying attacks. (Succesfully Parried Attacks Deal no Physical Damage.)

 

Magic

Mental: This type of magic affects the recipient through his M ind.

Essence: This magic influences the recipients Essence and Body.

Energy: This type of magic uses the force of Electricity.

Cold: This type of magic uses the the power of Ice and Cold.

Fire: This type of magic uses the stength of Fire and Heat.

Acid: This type of magic uses the potent caustic abilities of Acid.

Poison: This magic uses the lingering influence of Deadly Poison.

Weapon Channeling: The Practice and use of Magic Weapons. (You must be level 25 before you may activate this skill)

 

Trade Skills

Mining: This skill allows you to mine ore, gold, gems and minerals

Harvesting: This skill allows you to harvest wool, herbs, plants and more.

Sewing: The crafting of cloth and leather into clothing and armor.

Weaving: The crafting of wool, silk, cotton, flax etc into usable cloth.

Tanning: The preparation of animal hide, (feathers, scales, leather, hide etc.) for crafting.

Woodcarving: The crafting of wood into items, furniture, equipment etc.

Stonecrafting: The carving of stone, marble and raw gems into items, furniture, equipment etc.

Alchemy: The creation of potions, salves and ointments from herbs and other ingredients.

Scribing: The creation of magical Scrolls, Tombs, and Books.

Essence Crafting: The forming of essence into magical tools, items and weapons.

Essence Harvesting: The harvesting of essence from deceased entities.
